Curriculum The program is designed to promote the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children. Children learn through play and interacting with their environment. It is important that they are given the ability to independently explore the world around them. For this purpose, the classroom is set up so that all materials are placed on low shelves to allow the children easy access and to enable them to make independent choices. The program includes both child directed and teacher directed activities. The curriculum is presented through theme based learning centers that include building with blocks, dress-up and make-believe, music and movement, puzzles, games and manipulatives, sand and water exploration, art, science, math, writing and literacy. These activities are aimed at encouraging the children to learn to make decisions, interact socially, follow directions, and become curious and interested in the world around them. The learning centers and curriculum are based on a new theme that will be introduced every month. Included in our curriculum are the following programs: Daily Schedule We follow a daily schedule. This helps the children feel secure in their environment so they know what to expect when they come to Preschool. Please click here to view our daily schedule.
